the
little house is situated
in the garden of a single-family house, and is completely separate,
i.e. the guests are independent, and can come and go as they please
without having to pass through the lessors' living area. This garden
house and the single-family house were both built in the 1930s. The
little house has a living area of around 28m². There is a 13m²
bedroom with 2 sofa beds (each 120cm x 190cm), and a dining room /
kitchen (around 8m²) with table and chairs, a 2-plate stove,
kettle, cutlery, a small fridge (mini-bar format), and a radio / CD
player. The bathroom is tiled, with bath, washbasin and toilet. If
desired, there is the possibility of sitting in the pleasant garden -
ideal also for visitors with children. The lessors are a pleasant
family of artists (not just women) with 2 small children (4 and 6 years
old). This is a non-smoking flat - smokers can smoke in the garden.
Location: In Lichtenrade, a district of
former West Berlin. Geographically situated between Berlin "Mitte" and
Potsdam. Attractive district with single-family homes. The major
advantage, is that the open countryside begins just around the corner
(20 min. by foot, 10 min. by bicycle). As this is where the border to
East Germany once was, there are no buildings, and pleasant walks or
cycle-rides are possible. This little house is ideal for people who
would like to enjoy the area surrounding Berlin, to visit Potsdam, and
to explore Berlin. Naturally, there are grocery shops within walking
distance, just like everywhere else in Berlin. On request, the lessors
will also provide a bicycle (old and simple model).
Public transport: 10 minutes by foot to the suburban train
(S-Bahn) station Schichauweg (S2), and from there the S-Bahn takes just
12 min. to reach "Südkreuz" station (also a
regional train station), 15 min. to Schöneberg
(underground/S-Bahn station Yorkstr.), 20 min. to underground/S-Bahn station
"Potsdamer Platz" (Berlin "Mitte"), and 22 min. to
underground/S-Bahn station "Friedrichstr.".
